Rebecca Schwarz - Birmingham - Cofton Park
Students often ask me if they can sing. I believe that everybody can sing and with my knowledge and experience we can work together to make you the best singer you can be now.
I have studied with diverse vocalists and teachers incorporating jazz; classical; musical theatre; rock; pop and gospel.
What each student wants from lessons is very different. From the student who wanted to feel more confident when singing karaoke to the budding dance music vocalist who wants to be able to make her very clear voice sound more "dirty" to the classical singer who had a lovely clear big voice but had no control of how to use it.
I teach individuals and small groups from my studio and in schools across the Midlands where I am lucky enough to have roles as varied as being vocal coach on a production of "Grease" and running a choir of amazing singers.
I was a key part of the team of three training Key Stage 2 school children in Walsall to be part of a 1,400 strong choir at Birmingham Symphony Hall, which was a fantastic achievement. I facilitate tailor made school-based workshops on singing/drama that enrich students' lives. I create and run musical theatre workshops for Happy Feet School of Dance, Kings Heath, Birmingham and lead staff and students at Birchill's C of E School, Walsall in singing/drama workshops.
I have the singer in the band wanting to be able to improve his tuning for recordings in the studio; I have the church band leader wanting to be able to sing all through his range without ever straining; I have the students who want to learn how they can improve how they sing show and pop songs. Whatever you want to achieve as a singer, I can help to get you there. I am happy to work with students who want to take singing exams and can work on any of the examining boards. All of my students, up to Grade 8, have passed their exams and the majority of my students gain distinctions.
